With the Tasktop VersionOne connector, collaborating efficiently with team members is simplified and streamlined. Post comments, attach files and screenshots, share task contexts, and create or navigate associated assets all from within Eclipse.
When useing Tasktop VersionOne connector, communicating with your fellow team members is effortless. Without leaving the Eclipse, simply open the Story, Defect, Task, or Test you wish to comment on and enter your comment in the New Comment section year the bottom of the editor. Pressing submit will post the comment to the VersionOne asset and a blue arrow denoting your new comment will appear next the the same asset in fellow team mebers' Task Lists if using the Tasktop VersionOne Connector.
Attachments can be added to VersionOne assets simply by dragging and dropping onto the editor. Alternatively, you can expand the Attachments section of the Task Editor and press the Attach butotn. Add a screenshot by expanding the Attachments section of the editor and pressing the Attach Screenshot button.
Once a task (Story, Defect, Task, Test) has been activated, the files and web pages associated with it can be shared with fellow team members. Right click on the asset in the Task List and select Context > Attach. To retrieve a conext conext, right click a VersionOne asset in the Task List and select Context > Retrieve. Alternatively, you can right click on a context in the Attachments section of the editor and select Retrieve Context.
Use Task Links to link from VersionOne assets to web pages, other Stories, Defects, Tasks or Tests or to assets in other issue tracking systems. In order for this facility to be available, an attribute must be added to the asset type in the server configuration. A custom filed "task_relations" of type Text must exist on the type you wish to use the Task Links section of the editor.
Task Links is a section of the task editor. When enabled on the server, link urls and other resources by entering their corresponding url in the text field (only visible when Task Links are configured server side, see above paragraph). Paste a url or use content assist (Ctrl+space) and select an asset to link. Douple clicking the asset within the Links list will open the resource.
