Installing Tasktop

Installing the Tasktop plug-ins for Eclipse 3.4 Ganymede

The Tasktop update site to use is http://tasktop.com/downloads/update/release/ide/. Copy this url to the clipboard as it will be required during the following installation steps.

  1. Open Help > Software Updates....

  2. Add the Tasktop update site url.
    Add http://tasktop.com/downloads/update/release/ide/ as Tasktop update site url


    Your Tasktop.com credentials may be subsequently requested

  3. Select and install the Tasktop Client feature

    4. Note: If you want additional integrations, select as appropriate from the other categories on the Tasktop update site (i.e. if you use Eclipse IDE for Java Developers, also select Java Developer Integration and CVS Integration categories).

  4. After installation completes, you are presented with a choice of applying the changes or restarting.  At this point you must restart -  press the Yes button.

Having difficulties installing? Click Manage Sites... in the Software Updates dialog and ensure Ganymede and Mylyn update sites are enabled.
